IndiGo becomes first airline to land aircraft using indigenous navigation system GAGAN

The flight was conducted using an ATR-72 aircraft and landed at the Kishangarh airport in Rajasthan, using GPS-aided geo-augmented navigation (GAGAN), which has been jointly developed by the Centre-run Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the ISRO.

GAGAN is used to provide lateral and vertical guidance when an aircraft is approaching a runway for landing.

PV Sindhu falls to Akane Yamaguchi in BAC semi-finals, settles for bronze medal

India's PV Sindhu settled for a bronze medal at the Badminton Asia Championships semi-finals, going down in a 3-setter to Japan's Akane Yamaguchi. Sindhu had won the first set 21-13 before losing the second and third 21-19 and 21-16 respectively.

It is the second medal that Sindhu has won at the Asian Championships. She had last won a BAC medal at the 2014 Gimcheon edition.
