The Chilika Lake, Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon, has 176 fishing cats, according to a census conducted by Chilika Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with The Fishing Cat Project (TFCP).
This is the world’s first population estimation of the fishing cat, which has been conducted outside the protected area network.

The government has approved 8.1 per cent rate of interest on employees' provident fund (EPF) deposits for 2021-22 -- an over four-decade low -- for about five crore subscribers of retirement fund body EPFO.
Earlier in March,the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) decided to lower the interest on provident fund deposits for 2021-22 to 8.1% provided in 2020-21.
The 8.1 per cent EPF rate of interest is the lowest since 1977-78, when it stood at 8%
The UT Administration and the Indian Air Force (IAF)signed an MoU on the Indian Air Force Heritage Centre coming up at the Government Press building in Sector 18 in Chandigarh.
The centre will have simulators, decommissioned aircraft, aero engines and other IAF artefacts. The centre will include virtual reality and AI technology.

The laboratory has been established under the Indo-Nepal bilateral agreement to reduce the time in the testing of imported food samples brought into Raxaul from Nepal. Earlier, all the imported samples having legal sanctity were being sent to National Food Laboratory at Kolkata, for testing.
