Indian Navy participated in Maiden Trilateral Exercise with Mozambique and Tanzania. Indian Navy is represented by the guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, a Chetak helicopter, and MARCOS (Special Forces).

This exercise came soon after the Gandhinagar Declaration which was adopted in the recently concluded India-Africa Defence Dialogue in Gandhinagar.

Govt notifies changes to IT Rules 2021, grievance panel to hear complaints

The government officially notified changes to Information Technology Rules of 2021, paving the way for the setting up of one or more centrally appointed grievance appellate committees (GACs).

The Centre would establish one or more GACs within 3 months from the date of commencement of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2022.

103 million people forcibly displaced worldwide, reveals UNHCR report

The number of people forcibly displaced from their homes due to persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations and events seriously disturbing public order globally surged to 103 million in the first half of 2022, meaning that one in 77 people on Earth is forcibly displaced, according to the latest report from UNHCR.

Karnataka: K Sivan, among 67 to receive Rajyotsava awards
