President Droupadi Murmu launched an 'EV-Yatra portal' & a mobile application, which will facilitate in-vehicle navigation to the nearest public EV charger.

The President also felicitated the winners of the National Energy Conservation Awards and National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards.

The Government of India set up Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on 1st March 2002.

Supreme Court Collegium recommends five names to Centre for appointment as apex court judges

Those recommended for elevation to the Supreme Court are Rajasthan High Court chief justice Pankaj Mithal, Manipur High Court chief justice PV Sanjay Kumar, Patna High Court chief justice Sanjay Karol, Patna HC judge Ahsanuddin Amanullah, and Allahabad High Court judge Manoj Misra.

The Supreme Court collegium was headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

The World Health Organization names Sir Jeremy Farrar as its new chief scientist

The World Health Organization said that Jeremy Farrar will become its new chief scientist as the agency prepares to cope with post-pandemic health challenges.

He will join the WHO in the second quarter of 2023, replacing Soumya Swaminathan.

India and Finland have signed a joint declaration of Intent on migration and mobility to arrive at a mutually beneficial arrangement on migration and mobility between the two countries. External Affairs Ministry said, the declaration underlines the resolve of both countries to work jointly towards developing a common framework of arrangement and cooperation.

This includes more than 119 gigawatts of renewable energy, 46.85 gigawatts of large hydro, and 6.78 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity. This was stated by the New and Renewable Energy Minister RK Singh.

India unveils $30 billion plan to upgrade grid for clean power

India unveiled a Rs 2.44 lakh crore ($29.6 billion) plan to build transmission lines to connect renewable generation, as it aims to nearly triple its clean-power capacity by 2030. The project will connect solar plants in the sun-drenched deserts of Rajasthan and Gujarat and wind farms in Tamil Nadu to the national network, power ministry said in a statement.

39th India-Indonesia CORPAT begins; Ensuring a safer IOR under vision SAGAR

The 39th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT). Centre accords 'in-principle' approval for 21 greenfield airports

The Central government has accorded 'in-principal' approval for setting up of 21 greenfield airports across the country. Development of a Greenfield airport is governed under the Greenfield Airports Policy, 2008.
