Jaguar Land Rover India head Rohit Suri to retire on March 31

Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, will be retiring from his position on March 31, 2023.

Rohit Suri joined the Tata Group as the Head of Premier Car Division at Tata Motors. He has led Jaguar and Land Rover in India since 2009. His retirement marks the end of a 14-year-long stint with the Tata-owned premium brand.

Centre names Praveen Sharma as director Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

Praveen Sharma has been selected for appointment as Director in the National Health Authority (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

National Health Agency was reconstituted as the National Health Authority on 2nd January 2019.

Ram Sewak Sharma is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority (NHA).

Electronics and information technology secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma launched the technology for Air Quality Monitoring System (AI-AQMS v1.0), developed under MeitY-supported projects.

Tata Boeing Aerospace delivers first fuselage for 6 AH-64 Apache to Indian Army

Tata Boeing Aerospace (TBAL) has delivered the first fuselage for six AH-64 Apache attack helicopters ordered by the Indian Army from its modern facility in Hyderabad.

The company said TBAL’s 14,000-sq-m facility, in addition to being a global sole source supplier for Apache fuselages, produces complex aero-structures for Boeing 737 and 777 models.

IIT Madras incubated firm develops BharOS that has no default apps

Homegrown firm JandK Operations Private Limited, which was incubated in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, has developed a new operating system called BharOS. The company said that the OS can be installed on commercial handsets and comes with no default apps, which allows users more choice on what apps they want on their devices.

India produces record over 5,000 lakh metric tons of sugarcane in sugar season 2021-22

India has produced a record over 5,000 Lakh Metric Tons (LMT) of sugarcane in the sugar season 2021-22. About 3,574 LMT of sugarcane was crushed to around 394 LMT of sugar. 36 LMT of sugar out of this was diverted to ethanol production and 359 LMT of sugar was produced by sugar mills.
