Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has signed an MoU with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for domestic manufacture and supply of its Long Range Artillery Weapon System (LORA) for the Indian Tri-services. The state-of-the-art strategic weapon system will be manufactured by BEL, as the prime contractor, based on the workshare arrangement with IAI.

Rajan Amba, VP of Sales, Marketing & Customer Care, Tata Motors, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover India. He will take charge on March 1, 2023. Amba replaces Rohit Suri, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Prior to joining Tata Motors, Amba was the Chief Operating Officer at Carat Lane.
The growth rate of UPI transaction volume and value for January declined in the year 2023 from 2022.
The transaction volume of UPI in January 2022 was 100.5 percent, while in 2023 it stood at 74.1 percent.
However, the transaction value of UPI in the first month of 2023 goes to 56.1 percent in 2023 while it stood at 93 percent last year.

The Union Cabinet approved a centrally sponsored scheme called the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) for comprehensive development of border villages.
The scheme has been approved for the financial years 2022-23 to 2025-26. with financial allocation of Rs 4,800 crore.
The programme is designed to improve the quality of life of people living in identified border villages.
In the first phase of the scheme, 663 villages will be taken up in the programme.
