National People's Party chief Conrad Sangma takes oath as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya for the second consecutive term. Meghalaya governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath to the 12-member council of ministers, including NPP's Prestone Tynsong and BJP's Alexander Laloo Hek. Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar took oath as deputy chief ministers.
NDPP leader Neiphiu Rio took oath as the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the fifth term, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rio was administered the oath of office by the Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan, at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima. The government has said that Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 will apply to trade in cryptocurrencies or virtual assets. In a notification, Ministry of Finance has said that exchange between virtual digital assets& fiat currencies, the exchange between one or more forms of virtual digital assets & the transfer of virtual digital assets will be covered under the act.

The five-day-long Yaoshang festival, Manipur’s version of Holi, has begun. The festival is celebrated every year on the full moon of Lamta (February-March) of the Meitei lunar calendar. Yaoshang begins just after sunset followed by Yaosang Mei thaba, also known as Burning of the Straw Hut. The festival is celebrated by the Meetei.

Indian Navy has successfully undertaken Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) firing from INS Visakhapatnam validating capability to engage Anti Ship Missiles. The MRSAM was jointly developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Israeli Aerospace Industries at Bharat Dynamics Limited.

As per the latest data, loans worth ₹3.56-lakh crore have been sanctioned, of which ₹3.48- lakh crore have been disbursed as of March 3, 2023. In the last financial year (FY22), the sanctioned and disbursed loans were at ₹3.39 lakh crore and ₹3.31 lakh crore. The total loans to be sanctioned under PMMY in FY23 could be anywhere between ₹3.80-lakh crore and ₹4lakh crore.
HCL Technologies announced a partnership with Microsoft’s quantum cloud computing service, Azure Quantum. Through this partnership, HCLTech will offer businesses cloud-based quantum computing services to its clients, by using Microsoft’s platform as the technology stack. The services will be provided through HCLTech’s Q-Labs, which is already one of Microsoft's partners.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a programme to adopt 75 villages and convert them into digital payment enabled villages. Under the initiative, payment system operators (PSOs) will adopt these villages across the country and conduct two camps in each of these villages with an aim to improve awareness and onboard merchants for digital payments.

In a first, Indian Navy has received a fully indigenised fuze YDB-60 for underwater Rocket RGB 60 manufactured by a private Indian industry. The fuze made for war ships was manufacturered through M/s Economic Explosives Limited, Nagpur. This would be the first time the Indian Navy has placed supply order for underwater ammunition fuze on an Indian Private industry.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched 'Laadli Behna' scheme wherein eligible women will get ₹1,000 monthly assistance. The amount will be credited to the accounts on the 10th of every month. The government aims to reach out to one crore women in the state for which a provision of ₹8,000 crore has been made in the annual Budget of 2023.
