Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora clinch Gold in Women's World Boxing Championship

India has won the second Gold in World Women's Boxing Championship at K.D. Jadhav Hall IG Stadium New Delhi. Saweety Boora defeated her rival Lina Wang of China by 4-3 in the 81-kilogram category. She became the seventh Indian boxer, male or female, to win the World championship.

ISRO launches LVM3-M3/Oneweb India-2 Mission in Sriharikota

The Indian Space Research Organisation launched the LVM 3- M3 /One web India-2 Mission from the second launch pad at Sathish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. This is the second mission for the One Web Group from the UK. The commercial venture with New Space India Limited will launch 72 satellites to low earth orbits. Earlier the first set of 36 satellites were launched.

Shri Bhupender Yadav launches Aravalli Green Wall Project

Shri Bhupendra Yadav launched the Aravalli Green Wall Project, a major initiative to green the 5 km buffer area around the Aravalli Hill Range in four states. This Green Wall scheme, the work of planting saplings will be done in about 26,000 acres of five districts — Gurugram, Rewari, Nuh, Mahendergarh and Faridabad of Haryana.

Income Tax App: IT Department Launches 'AIS for Taxpayer' App To View TDS, Interest, Dividend Income

The Income Tax department has launched the 'AIS for Taxpayer' mobile app which will give taxpayers a comprehensive view of their information related to TDS/TCS, interest, dividends and share transactions, and an option to provide feedback. The mobile app will facilitate taxpayers to view their information as available in the AIS and TIS.

Egypt Officially Becomes Member Of BRICS New Development Bank

Egypt officially became a member of BRICS' New Development Bank which includes India, Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa. In 2020, the NDB board of Governors were authorized to hold a dialogue with potential member states of BRICS. Egypt's accession was later approved by NBD in Dec 2021.In September, the NDB board also approved UAE, Bangladesh & Uruguay as its members.

Japan’s JBIC to lend JPY 2.65 billion to Power Finance Corp

State-run Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has signed a project loan agreement (PLA) for JPY (Japanese yen) 2.65 billion or about ₹165 crore with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Under this facility, JBIC has proposed to finance some of PFC's projects which ensure effective reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and conservation of the global environment.

World Bank arm IFC to invest Rs 600 cr in M&M's new last-mile mobility firm

World Bank arm IFC has decided to invest ₹600 crore in Mahindra Group's last-mile electric mobility business to scale up electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles that are more affordable. This would be IFC's first investment in an EV manufacturer and its first in electric three-wheelers globally, in the form of compulsory convertible instruments at ₹6,020 cr.

Loan disbursements to MSME sector grew 24% in Q2FY23: TransUnion CIBIL-SIDBI report

Loan disbursements to the micro, small and medium enterprise sector in Q2 (July-September) FY23 grew 24 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y), with significant growth in the micro segment establishing that there’s increased inclusivity focus in the market, according to a TransUnion CIBIL-SIDBI MSME Pulse Report. Micro, small and medium segments saw a growth of 54%, 23% and 9%.
