IRCTC in association with Ministry of Tourism is operating its first tour on the Ambedkar circuit on an 8 days special tour from Hazrat Nizamuddin station. The Yatra includes Visit to prominent places associated with life of Baba Saheb Ambedkar like New Delhi, Mhow, Nagpur and sacred Buddhist sites like Sanchi, Sarnath, Gaya and Rajgir and Nalanda in the tour itinerary.

Market regulator Sebi sets up framework for upfront collection of funds

Markets regulator SEBI put in place a framework for upfront collection of funds from eligible issuers of debt securities to build the Settlement Guarantee Fund of the Limited Purpose Clearing Corporation. The eligible issuers would be notified by the LPCC as per its risk management policy.

Blackstone arm to launch India's first retail REIT, raise Rs 4,000 cr

Global investment firm Blackstone is planning to launch the first retail REIT through its Nexus Select Trust early next month in India. The retail REIT public offer is expected to raise around Rs 4,000 crore, of which Rs 1,600 crore would be primary public offerings. Earlier, Blackstone had launched Embassy REIT in 2019 and Mindspace REIT in 2021.

Exports, trade gap hit record high in FY23

India's merchandise exports rose 6% to $447 billion during 2022-23, buoyed by outbound shipments of petroleum, pharma, chemicals and marine goods, official data released showed. Imports grew 16.5% to $714 billion in 2022-23 against $613 billion in 2021-22, leaving a record trade deficit in goods of $266.78 billion in the year.

SBI reintroduces 400 days ‘Amrit Kalash’ retail term deposit scheme

State Bank of India has reintroduced retail term deposit scheme ‘Amrit Kalash’ of 400 days tenure at 7.10 per cent interest rate. The scheme is available from April 12, 2023 till June 30, 2023. Senior citizens will get additional interest of 50 basis points on the scheme. The interest will be payable on a monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly basis under Amrit Kalash.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is India's wealthiest CM, Naveen 3rd richest: ADR report

A total of 29 of the incumbent chief ministers are crorepatis in India with Andhra Pradesh's Jagan Mohan Reddy having the highest assets totaling ₹510 crore, according to poll affidavits analyzed by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). The report stated that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has the lowest total assets of about ₹15 lakh.

Telangana CM KCR unveils 125-ft-tall Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao unveiled the 125-ft tall bronze statue of BR Ambedkar in Hyderabad, to mark the 132nd birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution. The statue in Hyderabad is India's tallest statue of Ambedkar. Ambedkar's grandson Prakash Ambedkar was invited as the sole chief guest at the event.

Best utilisation of MPLADS funds in Gujarat in FY23, UP gets most money

In FY23, Gujarat had the highest utilisation-to-released fund ratio of MPLADS funds. While ₹66 crore was allocated to the state, it had utilised ₹95.77 crore, 145.11 per cent. This is according to the data that the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation presented in the parliament.
