The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the Department of Financial Services' proposal to appoint Siddhartha Mohanty as the chairperson of India's insurance behemoth up to June 29, 2024.
After June 2024, Mohanty will continue to hold office as the chief executive officer and managing director up to 62 years of age until June 7, 2025.
In a move that will enhance the radio connectivity in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 91 new 100W FM Transmitters via video conferencing.
The 91 new 100 W FM transmitters have been installed in 85 districts across 18 states and 2 Union Territories.

Dubai-based airline Emirates has unveiled its latest innovation, the world's first robotic check-in assistant named Sara. Chand’s appointment as chief of BoB is with effect from the date of assumption of office or after July 1, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sanjiv Chadha, MD & CEO, BoB, will retire on June 30, 2023.

Karnatak’s appointment as chief of BoI is with effect from the date of assumption of office until further orders, whichever is earlier. Total enrolment under Atal Pension Yojana crossed 5.20 crore mark as on 31 March 2023. The scheme enrolled more than 1.19 crore new subscribers in FY 2022-23 as compared to 99 lakh in the last financial year, depicting a growth of more than 20%. As on date, the total assets under management (AUM) in APY is more than Rs. 27,200 crore.
