Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the 27th Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) on 8th May 2023. This was the first meeting of the FSDC after the announcement of the Budget 2023-24. The FSDC is the apex body of sectoral regulators, headed by the Union Finance Minister.
International Day of Families is celebrated on May 15 to raise awareness of the importance of families and their role in society. The day focuses on the important role that families play in our society while also highlighting the issues faced by them. The United Nations adopted a resolution in 1994 establishing the International Day of Families.
The theme of International Day of Families 2023 is ‘Demographic Trends and Families’.
