Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav launched a mobile application, called Meri LiFE (My life) in New Delhi. This app is inspired by the concept of LiFE, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP 26, which emphasizes mindful and deliberate utilization instead of mindless and wasteful consumption.

A BrahMos supersonic cruise missile was successfully test-fired from the Indian Navy’s frontline guided missile destroyer INS Mormugao. BrahMos is an India-Russian joint venture, produces the supersonic cruise missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or land platforms. It flies at a speed of 2.8 Mach or almost three times the speed of sound.
The All India Football Federation has declared June 23, the birthday of Indian football icon Pradip Kumar Banerjee, as the ‘AIFF Grassroots Day’. Popularly known as P.K., the late Mr. Banerjee captained the Indian team in the 1960 Rome Olympics and enjoyed a stellar career as a player before taking up coaching, where he also tasted plenty of success.

Nigerian writer Arinze Ifeakandu has won the 2023 Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize, one of the world’s largest literary prizes for young writers. The winning work was his debut short story collection celebrating queer love in Nigeria titled God’s Children Are Little Broken Things (2022).
