Ireland's Harry Tector, Thailand's Thipatcha Putthawong Clinch ICC Player of the Month Awards for May 2023

While Tector became the first Irish player to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award, Thipatcha’s win means it is the second consecutive time Thailand won the Women’s Player of the Month award after skipper Naruemol Chaiwai’s win in April.

The left-arm spinner Thipatcha took 11 wickets in four T20Is at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

India's wholesale prices contracted for the second straight month in May, led by a fall in prices across all major categories.

The Wholesale Price Index declined 3.48% year-on-year in May compared to a fall of 0.92% in April, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Retail inflation, too, moderated in May to hit a 25-month low of 4.25%.

SJVN signed an agreement with Mahagenco to develop renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 5,000 megawatts in Maharashtra.

Under the pact, the companies will explore the feasibility of setting up various renewable projects in Maharashtra, including hydro, pumped storage projects, wind, solar, hybrid and green hydrogen projects.

Reserve Bank of India opens Sub-office in Kohima, Nagaland

Dr. Michael Debabrata Patra, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) inaugurated the Sub-office of the RBI, in Kohima, Nagaland. With this, the Reserve Bank has further expanded its presence in the north-eastern region (NER).

ts presence in this region now includes Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland.
