India's forex reserves breach $600 billion-mark, hover around 15-month high

India's forex reserves see the biggest weekly jump in four months, as they went up by $12.74 billion to $609.02 billion, as per the Reserve Bank of India's update.

Previously, forex reserves had witnessed an uptick of $1.23 billion for the week ending on July 7.

Rajasthan govt tables country's first gig workers bill

The Rajasthan government tabled the Rajasthan Platform-Based GIG Workers (registration and welfare) Bill, 2023 - the country's first such - which seeks to guarantee social security to gig workers. The bill provisions for monetary penalties if an aggregator fails to comply with the Act. The state government may impose a fine of Rs. 5 Lakh to Rs. 50 lakh for It's violation.
