The declared interest rate stands at 8.15 per cent, as notified by the retirement body Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in a circular dated July 24, 2023. The EPFO has directed all filed offices to credit the interest at a rate of 8.15 per cent on EPF for the financial year 2022-23 into the respective accounts of its members.

The government informed the Rajya Sabha that around one crore 19 lakh houses have been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban, PMAY-U so far.
