Aditya Samant becomes India’s 83rd chess Grandmaster

Aditya S Samant became India’s 83rd chess Grandmaster.

The 17-year-old Maharashtra player Samant , an International Master, became a GM when he started his ninth-round game against compatriot Aryan Chopra at the BielChess MTO 2023 tournament.

He earned his first GM norm at the Abu Dhabi Masters in August last year.

IOC signs $7-9 billion LNG import deal with UAE's ADNOC Gas

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd’s recently signed long-term liquefied natural gas purchase deal with Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC Gas is valued at $7-9 billion, the United Arab Emirate -based gas major. The agreement, which was inked during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to France and the UAE, is for supply of up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum of LNG for 14 years from 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that a banknote with a Star (*) symbol is identical to any other legal banknote, except that in the number panel a Star (*) symbol is added between the prefix and the serial number.
