ISRO rocket carrying seven Singaporean satellites lifts off from Sriharikota

ISRO launched its proven PSLV rocket carrying seven Singaporean satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

ISRO's trusted workhorse Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is the DS-SAR Radar Imaging Earth Observation satellite, which has been developed under a partnership between DSTA (representing the Government of Singapore) and ST Engineering, Singapore.

IGGL, GAIL Sign Interconnection Agreement

Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd. and GAIL India Ltd. have signed an interconnection agreement to connect the North East Gas Grid of IGGL with the Barauni Guwahati Pipeline of GAIL.

The pipeline for interconnection will be laid by GAIL at an estimated cost of Rs 15.16 crore. The amount will be reimbursed by IGGL to GAIL.

TCS Names Harrick Vin Its CTO As K Ananth Krishnan Retires

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. has appointed Harrick Vin as its new chief technology officer, replacing K Ananth Krishnan who retires from India’s largest IT services firm in October. Vin, a TCS fellow and chief services innovation officer, has been with the Tata Group company since July 2005, when he joined as a vice president and chief scientist.

BSNL's Shivendra Nath set to be next CMD of EPIL

Shivendra Nath is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Engineering Projects (India) Ltd. a PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel.

Presently, Nath is serving as Senior General Manager in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

UCO Bank has opened four special rupee vostro accounts with Russian banks so far and has received permission from Reserve Bank of India for opening eight more accounts.
