NTPC and EDII join hands to empower women through entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, 'Centre of Excellence' recognised by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the CSR Division of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited.

EDII will facilitate New Enterprise Creation among the underprivileged women in the vicinity of NTPC Noida.

ISRO Transfers IMS-1 Satellite Bus Technology to a Private Industry

ISRO transferred the IMS-1 Satellite Bus Technology to M/S Alpha Design Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (ADTL). NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO, facilitated the technology transfer through an agreement.

IMS-1 bus, weighing about 100 kg, accommodates a 30 kg payload.

NSIL is a wholly owned Government of India company.

Indian Army Set To Get More 6x6 High Mobility Vehicles For Easing Logistics Movements In Forward Areas

The Indian Army is in the process of procuring 650 high mobility vehicles (HMV) with a 6X6 configuration and material handling crane (MHC) capabilities.

According to a request for information (RFI) released by the army, these 6×6 HMVs will be designed to handle payloads of at least 8,000 kg and tow a minimum load of 20 tonnes.

India and Bhutan are soon going to be linked by a 57.5-km railway link, between Assam’s Kokrajhar and Bhutan’s Gelephu.

To be funded by the Indian government, the first-ever railway connection between India & Bhutan is expected to be completed by 2026.

Russia launches first Moon mission in nearly 50 years

Russia launched its first moon-landing spacecraft in 47 years yesterday in a bid to be the first nation to make a soft landing on the lunar south pole, a region believed to hold coveted pockets of water ice.

The Russian lunar mission, known as Luna-25, was launched using a Soyuz 2.1v rocket from the Vostochny cosmodrome, located over 5,500 km east of Moscow.

Zerodha Asset Management Company (AMC) has received final approval from the market regulator to commence a mutual fund (MF) business.

Zerodha AMC is a joint venture between discount broker Zerodha Broking and fintech platform Smallcase.
