The Governor, Reserve Bank of India launched a Centralised Web Portal उद्गम UDGAM (Unclaimed Deposits – Gateway to Access inforMation). This portal has been developed by RBI for use by members of public to facilitate and make it easier for them to search their unclaimed deposits across multiple banks at one place.

Reserve Bank issued guidelines to banks, NBFCs on levying of penal rates of interest on loans. RBI in a circular dated 18th Aug 2023 mentioned that there shall be no capitalisation of penal charges i.e., no further interest computed on such charges.
