Competition Commission of India gets three new members to complete full quorum

Anil Agarwal, Sweta Kakkad and Deepak Anurag have been appointed to the Competition Commission of India

With these appointments, the antitrust body will now have four members, including Chairperson Ravneet Kaur.

Competition Commission of India has been established by the Central Government with effect from 14th October 2003.

Old Parliament building renamed 'Samvidhan Sadan'

The old Parliament building will now be known as 'Samvidhan Sadan', Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said.

The Speaker also announced that henceforth, terms such as 'House', 'Lobby', and 'Galleries' used in the proceedings of the Lok Sabha will refer to the new building, which is now the Parliament House of India.

RBI Allows Sashidhar Jagdishan To Be Reappointed As MD & CEO Of HDFC Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has greenlit the reappointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as managing director and chief executive officer of HDFC Bank, the lender said in an exchange notice on Tuesday. The approval is for three years and will be effective from October 27, 2023 to October 26, 2026.

He took over from Aditya Puri in October 2020.
