Indian Squash player Abhay Singh wins Goodfellow Classic squash in Toronto

Indian Squash player Abhay Singh clinched the Goodfellow Classic PSA Challenger Tour Title in Toronto, Canada. In the finals, he defeated Elliott Morris Devred of Wales by 3-0. With this win, the Asian Games Gold medalist has won his eighth PSA World Tour title.

Govt facilitates mutually agreed price of PDM at 4,263 per tonne for sale by sugar mills to fertilizer companies

The Central Government has facilitated a mutually agreed price of Potassium Derived from Molasses (PDM) at 4,263 per tonne for sale by sugar mills to fertilizer companies for the current year. In addition, PDM Manufacturers can also claim subsidies at 345 rupees per ton at present rates under the Nutrients Based Subsidy Scheme (NBS).

Currently, potash as a fertilizer is totally imported. Production of Potassium Derived from Molasses will reduce import dependency and will make India Atmanirbhar in its production. Presently about 5 Lakh tonnes of Potash Ash generated from ethanol distilleries is being sold domestically whereas the potential to produce this Ash could reach up to 10 to 12 Lakh tonnes.

Country's longest cable-stayed bridge, ‘Sudarshan Setu’ inaugurated by PM Modi in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Sudarshan Setu', the country's longest cable-stayed bridge of 2.32 km, on the Arabian sea connecting Beyt Dwarka island to mainland Okha in Gujarat's Devbhumi Dwarka district. Beyt Dwarka is an island near Okha port, which is nearly 30 km from Dwarka town.

Country's longest cable-stayed bridge, ‘Sudarshan Setu’ inaugurated by PM Modi in Gujarat

The 2.32 km bridge, including 900 metres of central double span cable-stayed portion and a 2.45 km long approach road, has been constructed at a cost of Rs 979 crore, as per an official release. The bridge, which was known as 'Signature Bridge', has been renamed as 'Sudarshan Setu' or Sudarshan Bridge.
