Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat will take over as the new Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. The Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) comprises chiefs of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force and the senior most member is appointed as COSC chairperson.
He will succeed Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa.
The Delhi High Court launched an official mobile application called “Delhi High Court” for providing digital access of its services to everyone. The app can be used to view the Display Board of the High Court as well as the Supreme Court.

Former French President Jacques Chirac passed away at the age of 86. Chirac served two terms as president and twice as PM, and took France into the single European currency.
He was President from 1995 to 2007.

DRDO, Ministry of Defence and Central University of Jammu (CUJ) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of Kalam Centre for Science and Technology (KCST) at the university to increase research scholars in these areas.
The CUJ is a Central Government funded University.
