Bangladeshi teen, Sadat Rahman, wins International Children’s Peace Prize

A Bangladeshi teen Sadat Rahman has been awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize for his work to stop cyber bullying of teens. The award was given away by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai during a ceremony in the Netherlands.

RBI imposes Rs 1 crore penalty on Punjab National Bank for contravention of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007

RBI has imposed ₹1crore penalty for contravention of nature referred in Section 26(6) of Payment and Settlement Systems Act. RBI observed that PNB was operating a bilateral ATM sharing arrangement with Druk PNB Bank, Bhutan, without prior approval from RBI

HDFC Bank, IndusInd in 'red flag' list on nearing foreign investment cap

HDFC Bank & IndusInd Bank have been put in ‘red flag’ list, a system used for monitoring foreign portfolio investor (FPI) limits. A listed company enters the list when the available legroom for overseas investment is less than 3% of the permissible limit.

Reliance Retail acquires home-products online retailer Urban Ladder

Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd. (RRVL) has acquired 96% share in Urban Ladder in an all cash transaction for Rs 182 crore. Reliance Industries Ltd. announced that it would invest an additional Rs 75 crore in the online furniture retailer by December 2023.

India's gold imports drop 47 percent during April-October; fall to $9.28 billion

Gold imports, which have a bearing on the current account deficit, declined 47.42% to $ 9.28 billion during April-October. The decline in gold and silver imports has helped in narrowing the country's trade deficit.
