Centre has approved a new Rajya Sainik Board (RSB) for Ladakh. The Board will be an effective link between the Centre and the Ladakh Administration. Rajya Sainik Board will play an advisory role on the matters relating to the ex-servicemen, war widows, widows and non-combatants, including serving soldiers and their dependents.

Director General of Border Roads Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry received the Guinness World Records certificate for the achievement of Border Roads Organisation of constructing and black topping the world’s highest motorable road. It has been constructed at 19,024 feet at Umlingla Pass in Ladakh. Official adjudicator of the Guinness World Records Rishi Nath acknowledged this.

The All India Presiding Officers’ Conference (AIPOC), the apex body of the Legislatures in India, is celebrating its hundred years in 2021. To commemorate the centennial year of AIPOC, the 82nd edition of the All India Presiding Officers’ Conference will be held in Shimla.
The first Conference was also held in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh in 1921.

The Pochampally Village in Telangana State has been selected as one of the best Tourism Villages by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The prestigious award will be given on the occasion of the 24th session of the UNWTO General Assembly on 2nd December 2021 in Madrid, Spain.
The Ministry of Tourism recommended three villages for the UNWTO Best Tourism Village.
National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), a public enterprise under Ministry of Steel celebrated its 64th Formation Day at its Head Office - Hyderabad and at all major projects with great vigour and enthusiasm. Smart metering company IntelliSmart has won a Rs 500 crore order from the Assam government to install about six lakh smart meters in the state. In this regard, a Letter of Award (LoA) was awarded to the company from the Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) to install the meters in 19 circles, Anil Rawal, MD and CEO, IntelliSmart.
