DRDO conducts flight demonstration of Controlled Aerial Delivery System

Aerial Delivery Research & Development Establishment (ADRDE), Agra conducted a flight demonstration of Controlled Aerial Delivery System of 500 kg capacity (CADS-500). ADRDE, Agra is an R&D laboratory of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the flight demonstration is part of celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, commemorating 75 years of Independence.

India, Germany Development Bank sign 442.26 mn loan pact for Surat Metro Rail Project

The Government of India and the Germany Development Bank - KfW (Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau) signed a 442.26 million euros loan pact for Surat Metro Rail project. The total cost of the project is 1.5 billion euros, of which KfW is financing 442.26 million euros The project is being co-financed by French Development Agency, AFD (Agence Francaise de Developpemet).

India’s Hansini Mathan Rajan defeated Syria’s Hend Zaza, the youngest athlete of this year’s Tokyo Olympics, to win the girls singles event at the 2021 ITTF Hopes and Challenge table tennis tournament in Amman. Playing in the U-12 category, the reigning cadet national champion outplayed Zaza. Parth Prabhakar was India’s entry in the boys singles event which was won by Iran.

Former Supreme Court judge, Justice Girish Thakorlal Nanavati who headed two inquiry commissions formed to probe into the 2002 Godhra Riots & 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots passed away. Justice Girish Thakorlal Nanavati was 86.

He was elevated as the Judge of the Supreme Court of India with effect in March 1995 and he retired as an SC Judge in February 2000.
