HAL Signs Contract for Export of ALH to Mauritius

In-line with the Government's vision to boost defence exports to friendly foreign countries, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) signed a contract with Govt. of Mauritius (GoM) for export of one Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH Mk III) for Mauritius Police Force.

The Govt. of Mauritius already operates HAL built ALH and Do-228 aircraft.

Amar Jawan Jyoti flame merged with flame at National War Memorial

The Amar Jawan Jyoti flame at India Gate has been merged with the flame at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

The ceremony to merge the Amar Jawan Jyoti Flame was presided over by the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff Balabhadra Radha Krishna.

India Gate was unveiled in 1931 and it was built to honour the 70 thousand soldiers of British India who gave supreme sacrifice

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's statue to be installed at India Gate

In order to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and as part of the year long celebrations, the government has decided to install a grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate in New Delhi.

Till the work for the statue is completed, a hologram statue of Netaji will be present at the same place.

IIM Kozhikode, Indian Bank collaborate to lend upto Rs 50 crore for startups

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode launched a startup funding scheme called ‘IndSpring Board’ to encourage new startups in partnership with Indian Bank.

The scheme launched as part of an agreement between IIMK’s business incubator Laboratory for Innovation Venturing and Entrepreneurship (LIVE) and Indian Bank, will help startups by providing loans up to Rs 50crore
