Sony Group Corp. is purchasing Bungie Inc., the U.S. video game developer behind the popular Destiny and Halo franchises, for $3.6 billion to bolster its stable of game-making studios.
Buying Bungie will give Sony one of the most popular first-person shooter games to compete with the massive Call of Duty series, which Sony’s main rival now owns through Activision.

India & Oman review progress in military-to-military engagements during 11th Joint Military Cooperation Committee Meeting (JMCC) in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the progress made in military-to-military engagements, including joint exercises, industry cooperation and various ongoing infrastructure projects.
A new scheme, Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North-East, PM-DevINE was announced by the Union Minister for Finance in the Union Budget 2022-23.
The scheme will be implemented through the North-Eastern Council. An initial allocation of Rs. 1,500 crore will be made. It will fund infrastructure, in the spirit of PM GatiShakti, and social development projects.

Gas Authority of India Limited has commenced India’s first-of-its-kind project of mixing hydrogen into natural gas system at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The hydrogen blended natural gas will be supplied to Avantika Gas Limited, one of GAIL’s Joint Venture (JV) Company with HPCL, operating in Indore.

The National Instituteof Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) will spearhead a National Tele-Mental Health Programme across the country, as per the Union Budget 2022-23. The programme will include a network of 23 tele-mental health centres of excellence, with NIMHANS being the nodal centre and IIITB providing technology support.
Saudi Arabia has organized the first-ever yoga festival on Bay La Sun Beach near Jeddah,which drew over 1,000 yoga practitioners from throughout the kingdom. The event kicked off on 29th January and continued till 1st February. The event was organized by the Saudi Yoga Committee.
