Neeraj Chopra makes history, becomes first Indian to win Diamond League

India's Neeraj Chopra claimed the first position in the Lausanne Diamond League with an incredible 89.08 m throw.

This is the first time Chopra has claimed the top spot in a Diamond League event and has now booked his place in the Finals in Zurich.

Linthoi Chanambam Wins India's First-ever Gold Medal at Judo World Championships

Linthoi Chanambam scripted history by winning India’s first-ever medal in Judo World Championships with a gold in the Women’s 57kg category at the World Judo Cadet (U18) Championships. The 15-year-old judoka outclassed Brazil’s Bianca Reis in the 57-kg category final.

She became the first Indian judoka to win a medal at any age-group category of the World Championships.

HDFC Bank to acquire 9.94% in Go Digit Life

HDFC Bank has entered into an indicative and non-binding term sheet with Go Digit Life Insurance Ltd. In an exchange filing, the bank stated it will invest Rs. 120 crore in two tranches to acquire up to 9.94% equity stake in the company.

The company recently filed draft papers with the market regulator to raise around Rs.5,000 crore through an initial public offering (IPO).

RBI imposes restrictions on Thodupuzha Urban Co-operative Bank, Kerala
