CESL sets up first integrated solar charging station in Ladakh region

Convergence Energy Services (CESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) under the Ministry of Power has established a first-of-its-kind solar-powered charging plaza for electric vehicles in the Ladakh region.

EV carport constitutes 100 kW solar PV panels with a 860 kW/hour lithium-ion battery storage system.

Justice AM Magray appointed as Chief Justice of J&K, Ladakh High Court

The Central Government notified the elevation of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey as Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.

Meanwhile, Justice Pankaj Mittal has been transferred to Rajasthan as Chief Justice of Rajasthan HC and Justice PB Varale is appointed as Chief Justice of Karnataka HC.

World Bank extends unconditional loan of $250 million for SALT project in Andhra Pradesh

World Bank (WB) has extended an unconditional loan of $250 million to the Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) project in appreciation of the path-breaking reforms implemented by the State government.

The SALT is the first project in the school education sector to be funded by the World Bank without any precondition.

Adani Data Network has been granted unified licence for access services, which enables it to provide all telecom services in the country.

Adani Data Networks Ltd., a unit of Adani Enterprises Ltd, acquired the right to use 400MHz of spectrum in the 26GHz millimetre wave band worth Rs 212 crore for 20 years in the recent 5G spectrum auction.

NPCI collaborates with Worldline to support UPI, RuPay payments in Europe

French multinational payment services firm Worldline has collaborated with NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL), the global arm of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), to support Indian digital payment modes in Europe.

India up six places for reducing inequality, ranks 123 globally: CRII

The 2022 Commitment to Reducing Inequality (CRI) Index is the first detailed analysis published looking at governments’ policies and actions to fight inequality during the first two years of the pandemic. It reviews the spending, tax and labour policies and actions of 161 governments during 2020–2022.

India has moved up six places to rank 123 out of 161 countries.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched Toyota’s first of its kind pilot project on Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles in India. These vehicles will run on 100 percent petrol as well as 20 to 100 percent blended ethanol and electric power. The Minister said, 6 to 8 percent increase in agricultural growth rate is necessary for AtmaNirbhar Bharat.

MDs, CEOs of ARCs can't have more than 3 terms in office without a cool-off
