Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya virtually inaugurates National Summit on Quality of Biologicals

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya virtually inaugurated the National Summit on Quality of Biologicals organized by the National Institute of Biologicals (NIB).

NIB set up in 1992, is an apex autonomous institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. The Institute is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

First edition of the SCO Film Festival begins in Mumbai

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur and Minister of State (External Affairs and Culture)Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurated the 5-day SCO Film Festival at NPCA, Mumbai.

The film festival is being organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) in association with SCO Council of Heads of States.

MeitY’s R&D Institute SAMEER signs MoU with Siemens Healthineers for low-cost MRI technology

To create a deeptech health care R&D and supply chain ecosystem in the country, SAMEER, India's premier R&D Institute of Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has signed an MoU Siemens Healthineers.

The MoU will be focused towards making available low-cost MRIs, a step towards affordable healthcare and diagnostic access for every Indian.

MoU signed with South Africa to introduce 12 African Cheetahs into India annually; first batch to be flown in next month

India and South Africa on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to introduce 12 African Cheetahs annually over the next eight to ten year.

In terms of the agreement, an initial batch of 12 cheetahs will be flown from South Africa to India next month.

The cats will join eight Cheetah brought in India from Namibia last year.

3rd INTERPOL Young Global Police Leaders Programme in New Delhi

INTERPOL Secretary General Jurgen Stock virtually addressed the 3rd INTERPOL Young Global Police Leaders Programme (YGPLP) being held in New Delhi.

The event which is being organised by the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) began on the 25th of January and will conclude on the 2nd of February. As many as 59 participants from 44 countries are taking part.

England's Ben Stokes and Nat Sciver win ICC annual awards

England Test captain Ben Stokes and England all-rounder Nat Sciver are among the winners in the International Cricket Council's annual awards.

All-rounder Stokes has been named Men's Test Cricketer of the Year while Sciver won the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year.

South Africa to host 15th BRICS summit at Durban in late August 2023

15th BRICS summit is all set to take place in South Africa's Durban in late August this year.

Foreign ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, and China met for the first time on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in 2006, kicking off BRIC cooperation. In April 2011, South Africa participated, for the first time, in the 3rd BRICS Summit held in Sanya, China.

All government vehicles older than 15 years to be scrapped from April: Centre

From April, any vehicle which is 15 or more years old, owned by governments, in the centre or state, Union Territories, public sector undertakings, municipal bodies or any organisation owned or controlled by the government, will have to retire, the new rule states.

For commercial vehicles and private vehicles, the policy will be applicable from June 2024.
