DMRC: India To Get Its First National Metro Rail Knowledge Centre In Delhi

The first National Metro Rail Knowledge Centre is in the process of development in New Delhi.  

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded the contract, for the design and construction of the facility, to GA Infra Private Limited.

The centre will be constructed under a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model at an estimated cost of Rs 46 crore.

India, IEA to work together to enhance global energy security, stability, sustainability

The government of India and the International Energy Agency (IEA) will work together to strengthen cooperation in the field of data and research and enhance global energy security, stability, and sustainability.

The Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC), under the ministry of petroleum and natural gas (MoPNG), has signed a statement of intent (SoI) with IEA.

India, US and Brazil to establish a global biofuel alliance

India, Brazil & the US, as leading biofuel producers and consumers, will work together during the next few months towards setting up a global biofuel alliance along with other interested countries.

This alliance will be aimed at facilitating cooperation and intensifying the use of sustainable biofuels, including in the transportation sector," the MoPNG said.

TCS Bags Over $700 Million Deal From UK's Phoenix Group

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that it has bagged a 600 million british pounds (or $723 million) deal from its United Kingdom-based client Phoenix Group.

Phoenix Group is UK’s largest long-term savings and retirements provider.

Under the deal, TCS will transform Phoenix's ReAssure business using the its BaNCS based platform.

US, UAE, UK, And Singapore Account For Over 50 Per Cent Of Foreign Inward Remittances To India

Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed that $69.129 billion of foreign inward remittances were received in 2017-18, $76.396 billion in 2018-19, $83.195 billion in 2019-20, $80.185 billion in 2020-21 and $89.127 billion in 2021-22.

The minister also shared the data on the share of major countries in inward remittances to India.

India's First Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Powered Heavy Duty Truck Unveiled In Bengaluru

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Ashok Leyland unveiled India’s first Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2-ICE) powered heavy duty truck.

The vehicle was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru at the India Energy Week.

According to Reliance, it is a "unique and affordable", indigenously developed technology solution.

Nissan, Renault to invest $600 million to make new models in India

Nissan Motor Co and Renault SA said on Monday they would invest $600 million to make six new models in India.

The Japanese and French automakers will work on the projects from their base in Chennai, turning it into an export hub.

The six models, with each automaker making three, will be built on joint platforms and will also be exported.
