Uday Kotak has stepped down as the Kotak Mahindra Bank managing director and chief executive officer with effect from September 1.
Kotak will, however, continue as a non-executive director of the bank.
Dipak Gupta, the joint managing director, will carry out the duties of the MD and CEO until December 31,2023.

ICICI Bank Ltd. announced that it has received a nod from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India for increasing its stake in ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. by 4%, which would make it a subsidiary. The bank currently owns 48.02% stake in ICICI Lombard, as on March 31, 2023.
The additional stake acquisition of 4% is through purchase of shares from the market.
IT major Infosys announced that it has completed the acquisition of Danske Bank’s IT center in India.
Danske Bank selected Infosys as a strategic partner to accelerate digital transformation initiatives with speed and scale, and this follows the announcement of the strategic collaboration with Danske Bank (Headquartered in Denmark).
