On October 23, 2023, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) will host the Anubhav Awards 2023 Ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The event aims to acknowledge exceptional contributions made through write-ups in the year 2023. Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, will present the awards to the deserving recipients.

Anubhav Portal: A Step Towards Recognizing Excellence

In March 2015, the DoPPW introduced the Anubhav Portal, following the guidance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. This online platform serves as a space for retiring or retired government employees to showcase their remarkable work, share their experiences, and offer suggestions for better governance. So far, 96 Ministries, Departments, and Organizations have registered on the Anubhav Portal, and over 10,000 write-ups have been published.

Anubhav Outreach: Encouraging More Participation

To encourage more retiring or retired employees to share their experiences, the Anubhav Outreach program was initiated. This campaign resulted in the publication of a record-breaking 1,901 Anubhav write-ups, marking the highest number since the portal’s inception in 2015. After careful screening, it has been decided to award 4 Anubhav awards and 9 Jury Certificates to deserving individuals from 8 different Ministries, Departments, and Organizations. For the first time, 9 Jury Certificates will also be conferred to promote wider participation. The awardees will receive a Medal, a Certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, while Jury Certificate winners will be presented with a Medal and a Certificate.

Pre-Retirement Counselling for a Smooth Transition

The DoPPW is also organizing Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) Workshops to provide retiring government employees with relevant information about their retirement benefits and the sanction process. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring the “Ease of Living” for pensioners.

All India Pension Adalat: A Platform for Grievance Resolution

The All India Pension Adalat has proven to be an effective platform for addressing pension-related grievances. To date, the DoP&PW has conducted 8 Pension Adalats, resolving 71% of the 24,671 grievances presented by various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations.

Thematic All India Pension Adalat for Pending Cases

In the upcoming ceremony, a Thematic All India Pension Adalat will be conducted. This event will focus on addressing pending Pension Payment Order cases across Ministries and Departments, both in Delhi and at various locations across India.

Integration for Easy Access: Anubhav Awards 2023

Recognizing the need to simplify processes for pensioners, the DoPPW has decided to integrate various portals, such as Pension Disbursing Bank portals, ANUBHAV, CPENGRAMS, CGHS, into a newly created “Integrated Pensioners’ Portal” (https://ipension.nic.in).

Streamlining Banking Services

To further streamline the pensioner experience, the websites of Pension Disbursing Banks are being integrated with the Integrated Pensioners Portal. This integration covers various aspects such as changing banks, submitting life certificates, pension slips, and income tax-related information. The task of integrating the Pension Seva Portals of SBI and Canara Bank with the Bhavishya portal has already been completed.

Launching the Integrated Pensioners’ Portal

In the upcoming ceremony, the Union Minister MoS (PP) will launch the Integrated Pensioners’ Portal in collaboration with Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda. This portal will provide pensioners with easier access to essential services.

Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0: Anubhav Awards 2023

The DoPPW will be organizing a nationwide Digital Life Certificate campaign in November 2023. This initiative aims to enable 70 lakh Central Government pensioners to submit their life certificates. Digital Life Certificate camps will be set up in 500 locations across 100 cities in collaboration with 17 banks. The National DLC Portal will be launched on October 23, 2023, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, to monitor this campaign.
