RRB Group D Eligibility 2025, Age Limit and Educational Qualification

The RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria details for 2025 were released along with the notification. The eligibility criteria include three major factors: nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. Candidates must be within the age group of 18 - 36 to appear for the examination. The minimum qualification required to appear for the Group D posts is a Class 10 pass. This article provides a good analysis of the RRB Group D Criteria 2025 for exam aspirants.

 

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025

 

To be eligible for this examination, aspiring applicants need to complete at least their Class 10 qualification. In addition to these criteria, the RRB will also examine candidates on the grounds of physical and medical fitness. Candidates are required to perform physical activities such as high jump and long jump to prove their efficiency. The medical standards may vary according to the Group D post a candidate is recruited into.

RRB Group D Nationality

 

The Railway Recruitment Board has laid down certain important conditions, one of which is nationality. The RRB Group D eligibility criteria for nationality are given below:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.
  • Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, to settle permanently.
  • Applicants who are of Indian origin and have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to settle permanently here.

 

RRB Group D Age Limit 

 

As per the RRB Group D official notification, the age limit for candidates is 18 - 36 years as of January 1, 2025. Given below are the RRB Group D age limit 2025 details:

RRB Group D Age Relaxation

 

The Railway Recruitment Board also provides certain age relaxations to the candidates. However, the age relaxations are subject to the category of the applicant. The details of the RRB Group D age relaxation are as follows:

RRB Group D Qualification Details

 

All applicants must check the RRB Group D qualification details before applying. Candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to be able to appear for the examination:

  • Minimum 10th pass
  • ITI or equivalent certificate
  • Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for Level-1  posts
  • National Apprenticeship Certificate by NCVT

 

RRB Group D Physical Standard Criteria

 

The Railway Recruitment Board will also evaluate the physical fitness of candidates. Candidates who clear the CBT exam will have to appear for the PET test (Physical Efficiency Test). The details of RRB Group D PET are given below:

Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one go.

The RRB Group D medical standards vary according to the post. The table below shows some of the posts and their medical requirements:

Assistant TL and AC (B-1)Physically fit in all respects

Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D).

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required. - Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc.

Assistant – Workshop (C-1)Physically fit in all respects

Distant Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. 

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.

 

RRB Group D Trade Notice Details

 

The Railway Recruitment Board has released the trade certificate eligibility for the candidates. Given below are the details:

  • Only the candidates who have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) are eligible to apply
  • CCAs from any trade discipline can apply for the Group D posts
  • The eligible CCA candidates must provide the details of their training duration, certificate details, and marks accurately
  • In case you are waiting for the NCVT exam result, you must mention the last date of the exam in the application
