SSC CGL Eligibility 2025, Age Limit, Qualification

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination every year to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C positions in different government departments. SSC CGL Eligibility

 

This year, the SSC CGL 2025 Notification will be released on 22nd April 2025. Based on the previous year's notification, candidates aged between 18 to 32 years who have completed their graduation will be eligible to appear for the SSC CGL Examination.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the age criteria for the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination, which vary based on the position applied for.

SSC CGL age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories. The details of age relaxation are as follows:

SSC CGL Educational Qualification 2025

 

In addition to the age limit, candidates must also meet certain SSC CGL minimum educational qualifications by 1st August 2024(as per previous year notification). The specific educational requirements for each post in SSC CGL are provided in the table below:

A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II-A bachelor's degree from an approved institution or institute in any field, including statistics.
-Statistics must have been a subject for the candidates during the three years of their graduate course.
Research Assistant in National Human Rights CommissionEssential qualification: Bachelor's degree from authorized universities or institutes.
Desirable qualifications:
– At least one year of research experience at a reputable university or research institution.
– A legal or human rights degree from an approved university.
Other PostEssential qualification: Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited university, or an equivalent qualification.

 

SSC CGL Eligibility Graduation Percentage Requirement

 

To appear for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam, candidates must have a graduate degree. For most posts, the percentage of marks in graduation is not a major criterion.

SSC CGL Nationality 2025

 

The SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria also include the nationality of the candidates. The details regarding candidates' citizenship are as follows.

SSC CGL Physical Standards

 

Apart from Tier 1 and Tier 2 CBT exam candidates had to appear for the SSC CGL Physical Eligibility tests for certain posts, which checks if candidates are physically fit for those posts. This includes height, chest measurement, and endurance tests.

These standards are crucial for ensuring candidates meet the necessary physical and medical criteria for the roles they have applied for.
