Dinesh Khara: In a significant development, the Central Government has chosen to prolong Mr. Dinesh Khara’s tenure as the Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest financial institution. This extension, stretching until August of the subsequent year, was officially disclosed by two undisclosed government sources, lacking the authority to address the media. Mr. Khara, who assumed his responsibilities on October 7, 2020, initially for a three-year term, will now serve until he reaches the age of 63.
