FSSAI Assistant Eligibility – Nationality
To fulfill the FSSAI Assistant Eligibility in terms of nationality, the candidates must fulfill either of the following:
- a Citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
FSSAI Assistant Eligibility – Age Limit
The candidates will have to fulfill the age criteria as on the reference date which is usually the last date of closing application. The aspirants must be below 30 years of age to fulfill the age criteria.
FSSAI Age Relaxation
As per the govt norms, FSSAI provides relaxation to various categories. Check out the relaxation provided to the upper age limit in various categories:

| Ex- Servicemen | 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date |
