Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are willing to appear for the examination must be eligible to apply online for the examination. There are a proper set of eligibility criteria that needs to be fulfilled by the candidates. We have mentioned below the detailed eligibility criteria for the Indian Air Force Agniveer 2023.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age Limit: 17.5 years
- Maximum Age Limit: 21 years
Candidates must be born between 26 Dec 2002 to 26th June 2006 and both dates are inclusive.
Educational Qualification
(a) Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
OR Passed Two years of Vocational course with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Mathematics from State Education Boards / Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational courses (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the vocational course).
(b) Other than Science Subjects
Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR Passed two years’ vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE members with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment: Selection Process
Indian Air Force Agniveer examination consists of six stages. Candidates need to clear all the stages of the selection process in order to qualify for the examination. We have mentioned below the six stages of the selection process for the examination.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment: Exam Pattern
Candidates who are willing to or preparing for the Agniveer examinations must have knowledge of the exam pattern we have mentioned below the exam pattern to provide a better understanding to the candidates.
Online Test Exam Pattern
The online test will be objective type and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
- Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
- Other than Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
- Science Subjects & Other than Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 85 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
Marking pattern for online test:-
- One mark for every correct answer.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Physical Fitness Test Pattern
The test (PFT) would consist of a 1.6 Km run which needs to be completed by candidates within 06 minutes and 30 seconds. Candidates also need to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within the stipulated time to qualify for the Adaptability tests.
- Height Requirements: 152.5 cm
- Chest Requirements: Minimum expansion of 5 cm.
