Eligibility Criteria For Ladakh Police Constable Recruitment 2021 Required Age (as of 01st January 2021)

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and above 28 years old. (Candidates born before January 1, 1993, and after December 31, 2002, are ineligible.)

Educational Qualification

Before the closing date, the candidate must have passed the 10th-grade test from a recognized Board of School Education. (8th grade from a recognized school for any serving Special Police Officer (SPO) with a minimum of three years of continuous service).

Physical Parameters

Males must be at least 162 cm tall, while females must be at least 152 cm tall.

1. Un-expanded chest (Male only)

– A minimum of 81 cm.

2. Expanded

– A minimum of 85 cm is required.

Candidates who do not clear the physical measurement standards will be rejected and will be unable to participate in the remaining selection process.

Physical Endurance Test For Ladakh Police Constable Notification 2021 – (50 Marks)

Only applicants who have passed the physical measuring tests will be subjected to the physical endurance test. The physical endurance test will be worth a maximum of 50 points and will include the following activities:

a. Long race (1600 meters for men and 1000 meters for women) – 25 points

b. 100-meter short sprint – 25 points

Candidates will be awarded points for the activities based on their performance. The performance-based marks allotted and the disqualification cutoff will be as follows:

  2. Only candidates who have qualified for the long race will be eligible for the short sprint.

Examining Original Documents And Testimonials

Candidates who pass the physical endurance exam must submit their original documents/testimonials, as well as self-attested photocopies of the documents/testimonials, for review. (The examination is provisional, and all papers/testimonies must be verified by the competent authorities.)

Qualification test 

Only those applicants whose papers/testimonies have been reviewed and who have declared in their application that they hold one of the following desirable qualifications will be tested:

  • Driving ability and holding of a Light Motor Vehicle Driving License with TRANS are required.
  • A one-year certificate program in computer application from an AICTE-approved college.

A driving test will be held for candidates who have the necessary qualification  (1) The driving test will be conducted in accordance with the most recent driving test guidelines developed by the right authorities within the UT Administration.

For applicants with the appropriate qualification (ii), a written examination and/or a practical exam will be held.

Written Examination (Objective Type)

All candidates who have qualified for the physical measurement test and whose documents/testimonials have been scrutinized and found correct shall be put through a written examination which shall be of 80 minutes duration. The written exam will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions and each question carrying 01 mark. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer. The question paper for the written exam will be in English only. The question paper shall be of matriculation level. The syllabus for the examination is as follows.
