NHPC’s Human Chain

Human Chain: NHPC, or the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, recently organized a series of events to promote vigilance during the Vigilance Awareness Week 2023. These events unfolded at the NHPC Corporate Office in Faridabad, and NHPC teamed up with Murari Lal Senior Secondary School, Faridabad, to carry out these activities, all aimed at raising vigilance awareness.

Human Chain for Vigilance

The day commenced with a Human Chain, where students from Murari Lal Senior Secondary School joined hands to form a chain that extended from their school to the NHPC Corporate Office. This symbolic act served to underscore the importance of vigilance in our society.

Street Play on Vigilance Awareness

Following the Human Chain, students from the school put on a ‘Nukkad Natak’ performance at the NHPC Corporate Office. This street play was designed to inform the audience about the significance of vigilance and its role in upholding integrity and transparency. The students’ lively performances effectively conveyed important messages to the onlookers.

NHPC Employee Walkathon

NHPC employees actively took part in a Walkathon, which was organized for them on this special occasion. The Walkathon served as a unique way for NHPC employees to demonstrate their dedication to vigilance. Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel) at NHPC, and Shri Santosh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer at NHPC, flagged off the Walkathon. This event fostered a sense of unity and purpose among NHPC employees.

Both school students and NHPC employees turned out in significant numbers for the Walkathon, highlighting the strong community engagement achieved through the collaborative efforts of NHPC and the school in promoting vigilance awareness.
