OPSC OCS 2024 Apply Online
The online application process for OPSC Civil Service 2024 will start on 17th January 2024 and will last on 16th February 2024, on the official OPSC portal. Steps to Apply for the OPSC Exam 2024
- Visit the official website of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) at https://www.opsc.gov.in/.
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ at the top of the homepage.
- If you are a new user, click on ‘New User.’ For registered users, click on ‘Registered User.’
- Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Proceed to Registration.’
- Enter your valid email ID and mobile number, then click ‘Proceed.’ An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.
- Fill in the required details, choose the preferred post, and upload your signature and thumb impression. Click ‘Submit.’
- Complete the online examination payment by clicking on the ‘Pay Online’ link.
- Save and download the OPSC OCS Application form for future reference.

An application fee will be paid online mode through net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI etc. Application fees once paid will not be refunded and without application fees, candidates’ application forms will be considered incomplete.

OPSC OCS 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2024, candidates need to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for Group A and Group B posts. Failing to meet these criteria will result in the rejection of their application forms and disqualification from the selection process.
Citizenship
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age limit (as on 01/01/2023)
The candidate’s age must be between 21 years to 38 years (unreserved category). That means the applicants must born before 1st January 2002 and after 2nd January 1985. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Women category, the maximum age limit is 43 years, and for PwDs whose permanent disability is 40%, the upper age limit is 48 years.
Education Qualification
- Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university or any deemed university.
- They must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the Odia language and must have any one of the following:
- Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language or a subject,
- Passed HSC or Equivalent with Odia as a medium of examination in a non-language subject,
- Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of class 8th in school or educational institute.
OPSC OCS Selection Process
The OPSC Combined Competitive Recruitment Process held in three stages: Preliminary Test, Mains Test and Interview. The OPSC Preliminary test will be qualifying test from which candidates will be screened for Mains Test followed by Interview or Personality Test. The marks scored in the preliminary exam is not included for the merit list. Only mains exam marks and interview marks is considered for the Merit list.

OPSC CCRE 2024: Exam Pattern
OPSC Prelims Exam Pattern (Objective Type)
- The Preliminary Examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of objective types.
- Each paper carries a maximum of 200 marks.
- Each papers shall be of two hours duration.
- Paper 2 will be qualifying in nature and candidates are required to score above 33% to qualify for the main exam.
- There we be a negative marking of 1/3 for every wrong answer.

OPSC Mains Exam Pattern
- OPSC OCS Main written examination consists of 2 parts: Part 1 and Part 2.
- Part 1 for Odia and English Language for qualifying and marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for merit.
- Marks scored in Part 2 for Paper I – VII will be included in the merit list.
- Each paper shall be 03 hours in duration.

Odisha Civil Services Salary 2024
The monthly salary for the candidates selected for Group A post of Odisha Public Service Commission will be Rs. 56,100/-. For Group B posts, the salary will be Rs. 44,900, as per Pay Level 12 Cell-1 in the Pay Matrix under Rules-3 of ORSP Rules, 2027. In addition to the salary, appointed candidates will also receive various allowances and perks.
