OPSC Syllabus 2024
OPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern: The OPSC OCS Syllabus has been published in the OPSC Notification 2024. The Odisha Civil Service exam held in three stages: Prelims, Mains and Interview. Prelims Exam comprises two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, each lasting two hours. Paper 1 covers topics such as current events, Indian history, public policy, the Indian Constitution, biology, climate change, and more. Paper 2 includes questions on deep general studies, data interpretation, comprehension, decision-making, and basic numeracy. Mains Exam comprises nine papers including papers on General Studies, Optional papers and language paper.
Apart from the OPSC syllabus, aspirants must check the OPSC CCRE exam pattern to understand the topics and weightage and time duration of the sections. The prelims is only screening test for mains exam. The merit is prepared based on the marks scored in the mains and interview.

OPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2024
The Prelims and Mains syllabus consists topics from wide range of General Studies. Language paper is also there. candidates must check the exam pattern and syllabus details before the exam. The written exam is conducted into two phases: Prelims and Mains.
OPSC OCS Prelims Exam Pattern
- The Preliminary Examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of objective types.
- Each paper carries a maximum of 200 marks.
- Each papers shall be of two hours duration.
- Paper 2 will be qualifying in nature and candidates are required to score above 33% to qualify for the main exam.
- There we be a negative marking of 1/3 for every wrong answer.

- OPSC OCS Main written examination consists of 2 parts: Part 1 and Part 2.
- Part 1 for Odia and English Language for qualifying and marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for merit.
- Marks scored in Part 2 for Paper I – VII will be included in the merit list.
- Each paper shall be 03 hours in duration.
