SBI PO Interview Experience – Monika Meena, Jaipur City

This first experience was shared by Ms. Monika Meena from Jaipur City.

Transcription

Hello guys, I am Monika Meena, and today I had my SBI PO interview at SBI LHO, Jaipur City. My panel number was 1, and my overall interview experience was good. The staff was very polite and helpful. I was the first candidate in line for the interview. The first thing that happened was the document verification, and then I was sent for the interview. There were a total of 5 candidates in our batch, and I was the first to be interviewed. I had chosen Hindi, but the interview panel asked questions in both Hindi and English.

The interview panel didn’t ask too deep questions. Here are a few questions:

  • What are today’s headlines? What are they about? What do you know about them?
  • HR-related questions like the qualities of a PO and how to handle customers
  • As I had completed my BSc. graduation in 2016, which resulted in quite a gap, they asked about this also.
  • Why do I want to join the banking sector after doing a B.Sc. degree?
  • Who oversees the monetary policy?
  • Who is the governor of RBI?
  • Since you want to join SBI, what do you know about it?
  • They asked questions from my profile as well, such as what my father does. My father works in the railways, so they also asked questions related to railways.
  • Personality-related questions like what motivates me and also how I am feeling currently, which was mainly an icebreaker.

Ending Notes

That was the overall interview. I’d like to thank Oliveboard’s Harshita Ma’am and Aditya Sir’s classes, which helped me a lot and raised my confidence a lot as well. As Harshita Ma’am said, practice in front of the mirror so that you won’t feel that nervous during the interview. Just stay confident when you give the interview. So they were quite helpful with that. Even if you don’t know the answer to something, don’t try and think too much; just politely say that you are not very aware of this topic. Just be confident and go for it! All the best!

SBI PO Interview Experience – Samrit, Bhubaneshwar

The second experience is shared by Mr. Samrit from Bhubaneshwar.

Transcript

Hello everyone, my name is Samrit, and I am from Bhubaneshwar, the capital of Odisha. So I want to share with you my interview experience, as my interview was scheduled for today in the morning. My interview panel number was 1, and the interview location, i.e., venue, was SBI LHO, in Bhubaneswar Circle. Once I reached the venue, I finished the documentation process, and then we were accompanied to the waiting room. There were 10 members, like there were 10 candidates for the interview, and I was the first candidate whose interview was to be taken.

After I went inside the room, I wished the panel members well and then took my seat. They asked me the first question: What did you do after engineering? So I had my educational background in engineering; I had done my B. Tech, that too in 2016. So I described to them that I had also done a 7-month job in the banking sector only. So they asked me about the job profile, the nature of the job, and what I did in that job. They also asked me why I wanted to join the banking sector and why I didn’t do an engineering job. Why do you want to go for a banking job?

After I replied to that, they asked a few more questions, such as

  • What is digital banking?
  • What is SBI’s contribution to digital banking
  • They asked a few questions on cryptocurrency.
  • Since I belong to a technical background, they also asked me to suggest a few technologies used to completely make the risk associated with digital banking fraud 0%.
  • Blockchain technology
  • I was also asked to describe the features of the budget, like what the budget was based on this year.
  • GDP, types of GDP
  • They asked me if I had appeared for any banking exams or not.

They seemed pretty satisfied with my answers. My overall experience of the interview was good. The interview panel was supportive and cordial, and I felt comfortable throughout the interview.

Ending Notes

So these were the questions asked of me during the interview. I would like to thank Aditya Sir and Harshita Ma’am for guiding me throughout the interview process. I had taken a few mock interviews, and the mock interview panel was also supportive in figuring out the loopholes in my interview preparation. The lectures on banking awareness and current affairs taken by Aditya Sir were very helpful, and the personality development class by Harshita Ma’am boosted my confidence to prepare for the interview. Mainly how to present yourself before the interview panel and stuff like that. So I want to thank Aditya Sir, Harshita Ma’am, and also the mock interview panel for boosting my confidence throughout the interview preparation.

One last piece of advice I want to give to friends is be confident and don’t lose hope. Be confident, and whichever answer you don’t know, it’s better to not beat around the bush and accept that you don’t know the answer. Confidence is the key to the interview. I wish you all the best for the interview process. Thank you!
