Success Story of Hiranti Weerwal

Introduction

I am Hiranti. I live in Ujjain, MP with my family which consists of my mom, dad and my 9-year-old brother. I graduated in 2020 in the field of Commerce and am presently pursuing an MA in Economics. I take interest in reading books and practising meditation. I feel that my family is the source of constant joy and motivation for me.

Brief Description 

I started my preparation during the COVID lockdown. I simply started by watching YouTube videos for Current Affairs and QA. I also made it a habit to wake up in the morning and read Current Affairs from AffairsCloud. That is how my dad started off. One of the major part of my journey was attempting mocks. I used to make sure that I attempted at least one mock daily and analyzed it thoroughly.

The first exam for which I was eligible was RBI Grade B 2021. I appeared for it and due to my poor scores in the interview, I wasn’t able to make it to the final list. Then, I appeared for SBI JA and am presently working as a JA.

That’s a brief overview of how I prepared. It consists of-

a. being consistent in reading Current Affairs

b. giving a bit more time on your weak areas (mine was QA)

c. Practicing, practising and practising

d. And, analyzing the mocks thoroughly

Preparation Strategy

i. CA – I used to watch YouTube sessions of Kush Pandey sir. And, read AffairsCloud on a daily basis. I also used to read monthly PDFs from Oliveboard to revise and watch the revision sessions as well.

ii. QA – I watched YouTube sessions of Sumit sir. And used to attempt sectional tests as well to increase my speed and accuracy.

For the rest, I just went on attempting mocks.

Role of Oliveboard

I purchased OliveBoard’s Interview Course. It helped in dual ways.

Firstly, it gave me knowledge. This goes without saying that knowledge gives you confidence. I was confident on the interview day.

Secondly, it gave me real-time interview experience. That too two times. The feedback from the panellists helped me. Thus, it helped me get better at my communication skills.

Tips or advice for the fellow aspirants

Always be consistent and have faith in you and your abilities no matter what others say.

There is this quote of Albert Einstein which goes like, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

This has motivated me to a great extent. I always felt like I can and I will. If I could, you can too. Be clear in your mind. The success will be yours.
