Inspiring Success Story of Manpreet Singh

Hello, my name is Manpreet Singh from Himachal Pradesh. I wanted to make a career in the banking sector. So, after completing my graduation in 2019, I started preparing for the Banking Exams of the 2020 cycle. I studied from random sources and cleared IBPS clerk Pre-2020 but could not clear the mains exam. In 2021, I completely switched to Oliveboard.

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy

Quant

For Quant, practice is the key. First, clear the basics and then learn the shortcuts. After that, you should start attempting the mocks. Make sure that you are able to solve the question within 30 seconds in the prelims mocks. Focus on learning the methods to solve it within this time. For this, I blindly followed Lokesh sir.

Reasoning

Clear the reasoning concepts first and then attempt mocks. The reasoning section was easy this year according to me. I advise you to solve at least one or two Mains puzzles a day.

General Awareness

Spending daily 2 hours on general awareness is a must. It would not only help you in getting marks but would also help you to know what’s happening around the world better. For this, I followed Monthly Current Affairs by Oliveboard and Oliveboard Bolt.

English

For English, we have to clear basics like Grammar at first and then read or watch editorial analysis daily without fail. Then practice the mocks and analyze them. This would suffice for English.

Role of Oliveboard

I took banking mock tests from Oliveboard which helped me a lot to practice and understand the concepts. I followed Lokesh Sir for Quant and referred to the Oliveboard Bolt for my General Awareness preparation.
