Introduction

  • My name is Prince Kumar
  • mar and I belong to Deoghar, Jharkhand. I completed my graduation in December 2019 and after that I started preparing for the SSC CGL Exam.

Prince Kumar Preparation Journey

This journey wasn’t smooth or short but it required a lot of hard work, consistency and patience. I cleared this exam on the 2nd attempt but it required one more attempt i.e. SSC CGL 2021 to get to my dream post.

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy

I was quite weak in quants, hence I took classes. I practised the questions taught in the class along with previous year’s questions. Once I completed my class, I started attempting mocks which helped me build speed and accuracy.

Reasoning – I prepared reasoning by watching free YouTube videos and learning concepts by attempting mocks.

English – English was my strong area. I strengthened it more by following a book. It has the complete ingredients that are required to clear the exam and I studied it thoroughly several times.

GK/GA – For GK I followed Lucent and free pdfs of current affairs from multiple sources.

Typing Test / CPT – Free typing tests by Oliveboard were one of the sources followed by me for practising typing.

Role of Oliveboard

Quite competitive mocks by oliveboard along with accurate analysis and detailed solutions along with tricky solutions helped me a lot in improving my speed, accuracy and knowledge. I also found it quite helpful the free monthly current affairs bolt provided by oliveboard. Also, the typing test series helped me go through with my typing skills.
