Advancing the Constitutional Call: Article 39 A
Demonstrating an unyielding commitment to fulfill the Constitutional mandate of Article 39 A, guaranteeing Access to Justice, the Department of Justice (DoJ) is poised to celebrate the Tele-Law 2.0 event on August 25, 2023, at New Delhi’s Siri Fort Auditorium. This event marks a significant achievement: extending pre-litigation advice to five million citizens through technology. The event will be graced by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Minister of State (I/C) for Law and Justice.
Integration for Comprehensive Legal Support
This occasion not only celebrates an accomplishment but also signifies an integration of legal services. The Tele-Law initiative seamlessly merges with the Nyaya Bandhu (Pro Bono) program, streamlining access to legal guidance, assistance, and representation through a unified registration process. Through this consolidated approach, Tele-Law aims to equip citizens with comprehensive legal solutions.
Showcasing Noteworthy Releases: Tele-Law 2.0

The event’s agenda features several noteworthy releases and presentations:
- “Tele-Law” Film Premiere: Debuting a documentary chronicling the transformative journey of Tele-Law across five years (2017-2022).
- Introducing Tele-Law 2.0: Unveiling the integrated Tele-Law and Nyaya Bandhu App, accompanied by an e-tutorial.
- Unveiling “Voices of Beneficiaries”: Sharing firsthand experiences from beneficiaries who have availed the Tele-Law service.
- Revealing the “Achievers Catalogue”: Recognizing outstanding performance by Paralegal Volunteers, Village Level Entrepreneurs, Panel lawyers, and State Coordinators, region-wise, for 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 (April to June).
Collaboration and Participant Engagement
The event is set to draw a diverse array of participants, including representatives from the Department of Justice, CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd, students, and faculty from Law schools’ Pro Bono Clubs, as well as partnering agencies focused on literacy and legal awareness initiatives. The grassroots functionaries – Paralegal Volunteers, Village Level Entrepreneurs, Panel lawyers, and State Coordinators – who drive legal service delivery at the grassroots level, will also be present.
Fortifying the Legal Aid Framework: Tele-Law 2.0
This event, co-organized by the Department of Justice and CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, exemplifies the government’s resolute vision to enhance the legal aid ecosystem, ultimately actualizing the principle of “Justice for All.” By uniting technology and unwavering commitment, the Tele-Law 2.0 event sets the stage for a more inclusive and accessible path to justice.
