Hello everyone,I am Sai Dileep. I have started my preparation for banking exams from June 2017. In 2017 I was able to clear the prelims of RRB PO and RRB CLERK but could not clear the mains. As far as IBPS PO & CLERK exams were concerned, I could not clear even the mains due to my low score in English section. But these failures made me stronger and I took each of them as a stepping stone towards my goal. 

I started my preparation again in 2018 but this time with a good strategy. In the morning, I used to read The Hindu newspaper. Besides this I also used to give at least two mock tests daily. Mock tests plays a crucial role in the bank exams. I was able to practice a lot with the help of these mock tests. The mock tests provided by Oliveboard were quite difficult but it actually proved an added advantage as I felt PO exams as Clerks in the exam hall. In 2018 I was able to clear all the prelims exams. I missed some of the mains exams by a small margin. Finally I got Indian Bank PO PGDBF and RRB Office Assistant. 

My preparation Strategy:

Quantitative Aptitude:

I bought oliveboard mocks for preparation without a second thought because I had tried a lot of practice tests and trust me when I say that, Oliveboard gives you the best researched questions you could get in exams. The level that they provide prepares you even for the worst.

Reasoning:

I believe this section really needs much more than the other sections. My strategy for this section was to practice as much as I could. All the other topics except puzzles/arrangements can fetch you great marks, but these topics certainly add to your cutoff marks.

General awareness:

I really researched a lot of websites and YouTube channels, and realized that there is such a huge hub of education online, so I started filtering those websites and channels accordingly. Oliveboard was one of them.

English:

This was one of the toughest section for me and I was not able to clear many of the exams due to this section. So, I gave more importance to English section and as suggested by many people, I made sure to read newspapers daily. In order to improve my grammar, I referred few books which helped me immensely to clear my concepts. Moreover, the level of questions provided by Oliveboard helped me in covering the uncovered sections.

Tips for the future aspirants:

Hard work and luck, both are necessary for being successful. So, we should do our part, i.e. Hard work, rest is not in our hands. My suggestion is to practice hard with good mock series like Oliveboard, analyse your skills and improve your weak areas accordingly.
