  • Reliance Capital has appointed Angarai Natarajan Sethuraman as an additional director on its board. He is currently Group President of Reliance Group.
  • Lt. General Manoj Mukund Naravane will be the next Chief of the Indian Army. He will take the chair form, General Bipin Rawat.
  • PM Narendra Modi chaired the first meeting of the National Ganga Council in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The council has been given overall responsibility for pollution prevention and rejuvenation of River Ganga.
  • PhonePe in its recent announcement claimed that it had crossed 5 billion transactions on its app.
  • The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the date of payment of the third installment of Advance Tax for Financial year 2019-20.
  • The ratio of Gross Fiscal Deficit (GFD) to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) declined from 4.5 percent in 2013-14 to 3.4 percent in 2018-19.
  • Annual ‘Konark Samman’, the award is instituted by the Government to honor a personality every year for outstanding lifetime contribution for growth of art, culture, dance, music & architecture.

  • China & Russia have called the U.N. Security Council to terminate the sanctions on Key North Korean Exports, like coal, iron, textiles to help the local civilian population enhance their livelihood.
  • The United Nations Security Council will meet on China’s request to discuss the disputed Indian territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Boeing has decided to halt the production of 737 Max airliners from January temporarily due to its struggle to get approval from the regulators.

  • For the first time in Indian Super League’s history, a match will be played behind closed doors with no audience. The match between NorthEast United FC & Bengaluru FC will be played barring the audience from the stadium owing to the unrest going on due to the Citizenship Amendment Act.
  • Real Madrid missed the chance to replace Barcelona at the top of the La Liga group table. They were able to salvage draw from Valencia with Benzema striking for Real Madrid.
  • Kento Momota has become the most successful badminton player after having a successful 2019 and bagging 11 titles in 12 months’ duration.
