• Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman of Tractors & Farm Equipments has been appointed to the Global Board of the US Chamber of Commerce’s US-India BusinessCouncil (USIBC).
• Aditya Mittal will be the chairman of the newly formed joint venture of ArcelorMittal & Nippon Steel which acquired Essar Steel through an insolvency driven process.
• India has emerged as the world’s 3rd largest publisher of science & engineering articles, according to the latest US National Science Foundation report. China topped the list.
• Amitabh Bagchi’s new novel titled, “Half the Night Is Gone” won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature 2019. The Award was given by Nepal Foreign Affairs Minister – Pradeep Gawali.
• Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has partnered with the National Centre for Scientific & Technological Research (CNRS) of France to promote scientific & technological research.

• The U.S. House has impeached Donald Trump for abuse of power. He becomes the 3rd President of the US to be accused of impeachment.
• Prosecutors from Bolivia have issued an arrest warrant for the Former President of Bolivia Evo Morales over the allegation of sedition and terrorism-related charges.
• World Health Organisation (WHO) has inched a step closer towards providing cheaper treatment for Breast Cancer. They have tested a drug called Trastuzumab which shown high efficacy during early-stage breast cancer.

• Rohit & Rahul’s Ton followed by a hattrick from Kuldeep Yadav sailed India through West Indies thus registering in 2nd ODI at Vishakhapatnam.

• Liverpool beat’s Mexico’s Monterrey by 2-1 thus making it into the finals of 2019 FIFA club semi-final.
